Strange stories on Keary. One that he is off to Union. That might be a mistake.

Surely its not all to do with King Russ.

Stories will abound especially when you argue the toss with the boss who will only take yes for an answer. Keary was probably lucky Russ didn't toss a phone at him:bag:

Keary will go to the best offer imo, Josh Massoud has said that he and Russ don't like each other, not sure what the problem is with Weidler and Proszenko but they seem to have an agenda.

Souths have released some players early from their contracts and the media are using this to invent some stories, as Gus said it certainly doesn't look like there's any strife in the camp after the romp over the roosters.

South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess has been cleared of serious neck and spinal injuries following scans conducted last night.

MRI and CT scans have shown no damage to the vertebrae or spinal cord. Burgess will continue to be monitored for any muscle injury around the neck and spine region, as well as any neurological issues arising from the incident in yesterday’s game.

Burgess is expected to be released from hospital either today or tomorrow.

Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire is pleased to hear the positive results.

“We’re all very happy to know that Sam hasn’t suffered any serious injuries from yesterday’s game,” Coach Maguire said.

“I spoke to Sam and he feels very lucky and he wants to thank the medical staff from both the Rabbitohs and Dragons for their professionalism, the doctors and hospital staff who cared for him last night and this morning, as well as the Members and fans for their support and kind words.

“We will continue to monitor Sam’s welfare and he knows he is in the best of hands with our medical staff as we move forward.”

Burgess was a lucky boy and it could have been a lot worse.
Like Firemen Sam, Sam got down low and it was go go go . He charged top of head first into what looked like Mike Coopers chest.

You hope he's OK. Smart though - regardless - of the medical people to take him off. I wondered whether GI was suffering from concussion.

Not joking - but what he did at the end and after was very odd. You might say it was an accident but the score hadn't changed since half time and to say it was just annoyance or frustration is hard to buy from a player of his calibre. He did take a few heavy knocks as well.

I don't think he was concussed, I saw him on the tele today and he laughed about it, he forgot about saints penalty goal and thought it was 6 all, poor conditions to play football and a frustrating day for Souths, shit happens........lol.

Adam Reynolds may have suffered a second broken jaw of the season in a late tackle by Bronco Adam Blair at Suncorp Stadium.

If so, Blair should be suspended heavily. It looks high - maybe not that late. But - there was no need for him to go on with it.

The Broncos play the game hard but if you look closely there is always some iffy play in the tackles. The Nrl really needs to address the giving away of penalties by he defensive side in their own 10 metre zone so they can reset broken defence. It is creeping into every sides play and upping those penalties to 3 points might slow it down.

Adam had scans today, nothing official yet but there is some optimistic talk on the internet that his jaw is not broken........we'll have to wait and see.

Could be two more players missing this week with Hymel Hunt gone for the season with a pec injury and Paul Carter facing suspension.

Gutted for Hymel Hunt, was really showing signs of his potential that was stymied at the Storm.
