Moses M'bye has suffered a broken arm in trial game.
"Early reports indicate it's not too serious #proudtobeabulldog"
Canterbury to make big move on:
- Aaron Woods
- Luke Brooks
- Mitchell Moses
- James Tedesco.
If so - they'd have to let go a few - eg Reynolds , Hopoate , Lichaa and M'Bye - plus others.
BUT - what of Des ...
Reynolds and Hopoate would be the first to go. Add Eastwood to the mix.
Moses M'Bye suspended.
Rumours suggest Dogs have a new Coach - Ivan Cleary.
he is going to be busy then coaching the tigpies and the dodgies.
Don't forget Lebanon as well.
Said to have offered Woods $1m pa !!! Saints' Hunt deal looks better every day.
Offloading Graham for Woods?
Aaron Woods - 4 years.
Will Hopoate - 3 years
Darcy Maroske - Released (Norths Devils)
Comical end to the game. Josh Reynolds with yet another brain snap.
Hodkinson not kicking the penalty goal at the end will leave a sour note in some fans.
James Graham, the Morris twins, Moses Mbye and Greg Eastwood apparently on the market.
Graham is apparently on a back-end deal of $1m for 2018.
The Morris brothers aren’t on that much but their deals are also back-ended and upwards of $700,000 per season. Mbye is on close to $800,000 while Eastwood is the doozy of the lot.
The one-time Kiwi international is also on around the $800,000 mark next season. We're talking here about $4.5m for 2018 - for the 5. Half the Cap.
No wonder some clubs are worried. They have Foran coming on a motza - and their star Tigers prop.
I was told today that up to 11 teams could be over the cap for next season.
Heard something similar. Not 11 but a few. Apparently quite an argument going on about the Cap. Some Clubs are well over the $9.2m suggested.
Until they finally agree on a cap and publish it none of the clubs are "over" ......yet. If you were to include promised 3rd party deals in the cap all the clubs would be over any cap.
The problem really isn't with any cap as all clubs supposedly have to comply but with some clubs seemingly better positions to offer or arrange extras in 3rd party deals while others struggle at it
