It is understood Gold Coast and Brisbane have been sounded out over their willingness to sign Barba from the Bulldogs in 2014.

Although officials from all three clubs were on Monday tight-lipped about the negotiations, the move north will only stand a chance if Canterbury-Bankstown convince Israel Folau to return to rugby league.

Gold Coast CEO David May on Monday night denied any knowledge of his club being approached, with his Bulldogs counterpart Todd Greenberg giving the same answer.

Brisbane chief executive Paul White and recruitment manager Andrew Gee did not return calls.

With Folau tipped to command in excess of $750,000-a-season, the Bulldogs cannot accommodate both him and Barba under the salary cap.

Luke Bailey (Bull) signs on for another year. Good to see - an asset to the club and nice guy.

The iSelect Gold Coast Titans have secured a major coup for the future after today re-signing in-form halfback Albert Kelly on a two-year contract for seasons 2014 and 2015. Kelly, who is the Titans’ leading try scorer after 13 Rounds, has secured a two-year extension on the back of a stellar debut season for the club since arriving on the Gold Coast on a short term contract last November.

Inaugural iSelect Gold Coast Titans utility Luke O’Dwyer has today announced that season 2013 will be his last in the NRL, with the 30-year-old deciding to retire at the end of the season.

As he prepares to play his milestone 100th match for the Titans against the Bulldogs on Monday night, Tweed Heads product O’Dwyer has made the decision to retire after a 10-year career at the top.

O’Dwyer made his NRL debut for Parramatta in 2004 and enjoyed three-seasons with the Eels before returning home to the Gold Coast for the Titans’ inaugural year in 2007.

The iSelect Gold Coast Titans have added further depth to their developing roster for season 2014 and beyond with the recruitment of four promising signings.

Centres Maurice Blair (Melbourne Storm) and Siuatonga Likiliki (Newcastle Knights) will join the club’s exciting young backline next season, while 2012 NYC Team of the Year member Paul Carter (Bulldogs) and current Under-20s halfback Christian Hazard (Rabbitohs) will add further depth in the forward pack and halves respectively.

Blair, Carter and Hazard will join the club on two-year contracts for seasons 2014 and 2015, while Likiliki joins the club on a one-year agreement for 2014.

BEN Hannant insists he is committed to the Broncos amid speculation the former Maroons prop is considering following the lead of Dunamis Lui and quitting the club.

Brisbane's planned revival for 2014 had its first ruction Saturday, with promising forward Lui joining Manly on a two-year deal after rejecting a reduced one-year offer from the Broncos.

    I guess that means he's signed ... :)

    Courier Mail:

BARNSTORMING winger Kalifa Faifai Loa will link with former Cowboys coach Neil Henry at the Titans.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Gold Coast side.

He shocked the Cowboys in September when he requested a release from the final year of his contract, saying: "I'm just not a Cowboy".

The Hunt is on. KARMICHAEL Hunt's million dollar price tag is not the major stumbling block for the Titans in their bid to lure the high profile code-hopper back to the NRL. - See more at: http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/...6-1226755267004#sthash.ZUuengxB.4EFEw2Pz.dpuf

Interesting and may lend weight to the rumours that the Dogs are sniffing about for certain players - so opening up Cap funds for the Titans. This could also lend weight to the rumour re JMozz and Saints.

GOLD Coast coach John Cartwright says Karmichael Hunt is the type of player the Titans have to make room for at the club. Hunt, who quit rugby league four years ago to play in the AFL, is off contract with the Gold Coast Suns AFL club at the end of next season. According to Cartwright, the former Test star is a winner.

Sign Brad Tighe - in a possible swap for Idris. Penrith do well - but GCT now have money for a possible bite at a certain Manly half - or centre - ... or both ... :).

Rumours abound re Dave Taylor. Is he moving on ?

He could be quite a player but might need a Benny to get the best out of him.

Watch this space - management is right behind him ... :)
