    Another big one.

If we win and games go our way - we'll have a buffer between us and 9th.

That's a big IF. Everyone except the players or coach seem to have better game options than they have been putting on the paddock lately but they may surprise us.

If we are to go on form it should be a very good win to the Seagles. Personally I am hoping Mary goes back to the style of play the Dragons were using at the start of the season rather than last seasons playbook. Nene needs to mark up his opposite and stop drifting in field in defence.

    We will be right....IF...
They don't play like IWA (Cutters) who were simply brilliant............ at leaking 48 points against Penrith yesterday.
To be fair though Penrith clocked off at the 67 minute mark and the IWA ran 3 consolation tries in what was an absolute drubbing.

If we win we should make the 8. We could make 5 or 6.

If we lose today we might as well start planning for 2018. A sad end to what looked like a good season.

Mainly good things - Widdop back to better form. Vaughan showing how much we need him.

BUT - wasn't it great to see a ball playing FB in action - running - passing - setting up tries - stepping.

They lost it in the beginning of the 2nd half - poor D ... but we were lacking one of our main D men - Joel Thompson. Also Aitken went off and Duges didn't play.

So - overall - a good day at the office.

Interesting day of footy at the Gong.
The Ladies put on a great game with some big hits and NSW showed the SOG men how its done.

The Main game was a mixed bag.
    First Half
Dragons had most of the possession and while our attack would normally struggle to turn it into points ended up running in 30 unanswered points.
Our defence didn't have to do too much
    Second Half
Seagles finally got some consistent ball and our defence was shown to be lacking as the Seagles ran in try after try to bring them closer and I would have been surprised to see them hit the lead.

The highlight of the game was not the final score BUT that despite the Seagles comeback the Dragons didn't do their usual and fold.
They toughened up their defence , got some ball and scored another 22 points.
Hard to single anyone out as MOTM but I would give it a toss up between Dufty and Host.
Manly may have had an "off " day and while our attack finally showed spark the defence is still a big issue.

Not sorry if Bazza only got 7/8 for the weekend lol:cat:
