    NRL.com predicts: There is plenty to like about the Panthers here but we're tipping the grit of the Dogs to win the day – Canterbury by four.

    Guess the Dogs wee ideal candidates for the Panthers to kick-start their season with: as long as you can stand up to their pack, you should be OK, as you certainly don't have to worry about being undone by clever attacking plays when you're dealing with Canterbury.

    Fortunately for Penrith, that proved to be problem, and the new signing of Freddie Mercury in the Pennies' front row proved to be an inspired move.

    Yes. Dogies 2nd most predictable team after Souths. As with the Sea Budgies, the Pennies back from a week of rest during their bye and in this instance fared far better than I hoped in a complete shut-out.
