    Should be a ripper.

    Anyone can win this one.

Which teams will show up. What will the Ref's do - as they are the most important people in the game. There actions decide who wins.

Will Packer and Aitken play ?

Ben Hunt says it is business as usual as he prepares to face the St George-Illawarra Dragons for the first time since announcing he would be joining the club at season's end.

The Brisbane utility will link with Paul McGregor's men in 2018 after signing with the Red V in January but for now he has unfinished business with the Broncos – starting with Friday's clash against the desperate Dragons.

It is a strange scenario for Hunt, with a loss for the ninth-placed St George-Illawarra set to all but end their top-eight hopes.

But the 27-year-old is firmly focused on securing a Broncos victory that would almost guarantee Brisbane a top-four finish.

Tariq Sims is hoping his pre-season advice to brother Korbin about joining the Brisbane Broncos doesn't come back to bite him with the St George Illawarra Dragons desperate to stay in finals contention in their clash on Friday night.

The pair of brothers will go head-to-head for the third time in their careers after playing together at Newcastle for 18 months before both departing the Hunter in a premature fashion.

It was Tariq who Korbin leaned on during the tough period in January after being granted a release by Knights coach Nathan Brown in the off-season.

Are the Dragons safe in the 8 if they win? Or do they still need other results to go their way?

Either way, I won't be putting my shirt on them...

Hopefully they will turn up to play like their season depends on it.
Basically at this stage it looks like they need the Choccy soldiers to lose one more game than the Dragons win at least.

To be safe they need 2/3 wins. BUT - they play Penrith next week. If they can stay level with them they'll be safe - with their for/against.

Technically they can still make the 4 - but realistically - 5th or 6th would be the goal.

Mind you - they can also drop out completely.

They are the right team to start a run now. 3 Games to go - then 3 finals games to make the GF.

Parra may have hit the wall - Penrith are due a loss or two - Manly look gone - NQ Cows look gone - Melbourne and Chooks look best bets - but Melbourne may not make it - leaving Cronulla - who look like they may have hit the wall. So Saints have it all before them. They have the squad - but not the tactics imo.

St George Illawarra have suffered a huge blow ahead of Friday night's crunch NRL clash with Brisbane with four players expected to be ruled out before kick-off.

Dragons coach Paul McGregor revealed two players had come down with the flu while another two suffered injuries at training in Brisbane on Thursday.

He refused to name the players. ... Well we are in Queensland ... ;)

Very optimistic to me. I don't know about Parra hitting a wall; they had one bad result and performance after a good spell. You could say the same about Manly, even the Cowboys, who are managing life without JT much better these days?

Melbourne, Chooks and Sharks look a class above the rest for me this year.

Saints have got about as much chance of reaching the GF as Wigan have theirs.
