Kalifa Faifai Loa - off to the USA - joining Josh.
Mose Masoe and Tyrone McCarthy both released to UK clubs.
Yes - Mose never really got a chance - injury and luck. Tyrone played one or two I think.
Salford and Hull KR.
All freeing up money ...
For Latu and James Graham?
Asked for a release, but waiting for a club.
The Dragons have been signing a lot of second string players the last few seasons but most have not remotely shown any sign of blending into cohesive side......either that or its the lousy game plan they keep going back to.
They still don't value field position and rely on defending their try line which is where all the points are scored.
It apparently doesn't occur to them if the opposition attack cant get near the try line points are harder to get.
We know they can mount a decent attack......sometimes, but one out running for 3 to 4 tackles and then giving the backline a run is so predictable.
The club has also bought more than a few players who never delivered because of injury. Unless it was one of the Stanley brothers injuries cant be predicted.
The club needs a "thinking" forward like Dave Taylor who might have been a good buy seeing the club likes to redeem players with histories and some speedy backs they might actually use
We need some cash ...
Just a shame they got in such a hole with this joint venture. They got a nice sum to merge BUT now owe cash to the Nrl ,player contracts, two grounds and who knows what else.
New fullback on the horizon.
Who? What happened to Dufty???
A piece I was reading about these pre-season games said "both the Rabbitohs and Dragons have a contingent of English players..."
A bit of an exaggeration in the case of the Dragons; they've only got Widdop, haven't they, now Cooper has gone back to Wire? Or have I forgotten someone?
Might be talking in the future tense ...
could have been using the tarpulin tent statement....covering both teams at the one time.
That's what I thought. A bit lazy, but everybody knows about the Burgii at Souths.
SJ> Did you have someone in mind from SL?
We do have a lot of Poms come down under sprinkled through a few clubs BUT if SL is to benefit from it they really need to attract them back home a few years earlier than most end up leaving.
Tristan Sailor has re-signed with the club for a further two seasons. Sailor will join the Dragons' full-time squad in 2018 and will remain there until at least the completion of the 2019 NRL Telstra Premiership season.
Hopefully the Dragons are not just training him up to go to another club like Hastings and Bird for example.
