Will provide the necessary leadership towards Lawrie, Sele and Kerr.

Yes - we do need the toughness up front. He never gives up.

Official, unofficial, it doesn't seem to matter these days. But if you want to be reassured for the final time, James Graham himself has confirmed his move to the Dragons.

The Bulldogs skipper was always aware he could be the one to get the tap on the shoulder to make salary cap room for Aaron Woods and Kieran Foran, and the Dragons were lucky enough to pick up the talented scraps.

The veteran prop will end his career in the Red V after managing to secure a three-year deal which will eventually cap off an illustrious 18-year career in first grade across both England and Australia.

    ----------------

Graham is a good buy - yes he is 30/31 but top forwards like him tend to go on to the mid-30s quite easily.

Graham - along with Ben Hunt are two excellent improvements to the team that missed the Finals by a whisker. For and against they came 4th. All they really need now is some speed out wide.

Yes the Dragons do need some speed out wide BUT they also need to offload, draw and pass to get the ball out wide.
Normal practice for the Dragons if they could hold onto the ball for a full set is use the forwards in bash n barge one out runs for 3 or 4 tackles and maybe give the backs one run, then a kick direct to an opposition player who doesnt hardly have to move to catch it.
Sometimes they support a kick and stop the attacker in his 10 t0 20 zone BUT then give away a penalty.

If Graham comes the temptation will be to use the forwards even more but hopefully he proves to be an offloader of the ball more than an enforcer style player.

    Yes it is unusual.
They lost Packer but got Graham so who else is leaving from the forward pack considering they do have a few languishing in the Illawarra side or coming back from injury.

Nothing the Dragons do surprises me anymore but it can be pretty depressing at times

16-year-old son CJ Mundine - yes - son of - will be wearing his dad’s famous number six jersey.

The Dragons have recruited the rookie five-eighth/centre to play SG Ball in 2018.

Could be useful down the track but they need a bit more now. Lack speed.

    Forwards look good.
