A JAI Field-inspired Illawarra kept their premiership title defence alive with a thrilling 30-26 win over the Mounties in Sunday’s elimination showdown at UOW Jubilee Oval.

Field scored a try and laid on another to peg back a 12-0 deficit inthe first half, but it was his 60-metre effort with just over a minute on the clock – with his side trailing by two – that proved the match-winner.

Illawarra have kept their Intrust Super Premeirship title defence alive with a thrilling 30-26 win over the Mounties at the death, in their elimination showdown at UOW Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Sunday.

The St George Illawarra Dragons' Under-20s side will play the Penrith Panthers at Allianz Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The young Dragons finished third on the NYC competition ladder and will play for a place in the preliminary finals against the Panthers at 5pm.

Illawarra's season is still alive and running too following their thrilling 30-26 win over the Mounties in week one of the Intrust Super Premiership finals.

The ISP defending premiers will continue to run the gauntlet in week two of the finals against the Bulldogs – who lost in extra time to minor premiers Wyong last weekend.

Illawarra will kick-off at 5pm on Sunday afternoon at UOW Jubilee Oval, Kogarah.
