Gal fans will be happy he came back for a very successful Round 14 and is named in the NSW SoO 2 squad.

Gallen out for up to five weeks: report

    AAP
    Fri 28th June, 12:34pm
NSW captain Paul Gallen is in doubt for the State of Origin decider due to a foot injury suffered in Origin II on Wednesday.
According to reports Gallen is set to miss up to five weeks with the injury that occurred in Queensland's series-levelling 26-6 win.
Scans have revealed Gallen suffered a partial tear of the plantar fascia tissue in the arch of his left foot in the last 10 minutes of Wednesday's match, according to News Limited.
It's believed the injury will sideline Gallen for three to five weeks.
That puts him in serious doubt for the Origin series decider at ANZ Stadium on July 17, but the 31-year-old is determined to push on and be fit for the do-or-die match.
"My goal hasn't changed. I'll be doing everything I can to be fit for game three," Gallen told News Ltd.
"I'm going to stay on the crutches for three or four days, spend every day rubbing Pain Away into it and ensure I get it right.
"I'm certainly not thinking that I won't be there."

Sad to hear about B Ryan and his footy career ending injury. Now he has more time to devote to his comedy he may even get good at it.

Luke Lewis, young winger Jacob Gagan and stand-in skipper Wade Graham were all struck down with injuries which will see the trio join the likes of Beau Ryan, John Morris, Siosaia Vave, David Fifita and possibly Bryce Gibbs on the sidelines for the rest of the season.

That's harsh. The Sharks have shown great spirit lately (including against the Warriors at the weekend) with a decimated squad.

Kyle Stanley (ACL, season). The words "injury prone" come to mind.

The sharks took a gamble with a very talented player but his being "injury prone" appears to have them doing their dough on it.

Barba possibly out for a couple of games?. Might be time to give luke lewis a run at 5/8th. I don't know where you can put barba apart from fullback but he isn't really 5/8th

That's the trouble with getting on a bit. Injuries become harder to come back from or get over quickly but he will do everything he can to take the field in the local derby. You do have to wonder though if he might put his hand up to take on the new WBA aussie champ Brown.
