Both sides feeling they came off a win in 2016.

Any thoughts on teams etc. Those old legs are getting older.

They tried taking the game to the USA a few years ago. It was a failure and Perth might be slightly better.
The only winners in 2016 was Qld.
Gallen and Co lost the series even if they just scraped home to avoid a whitewash in the last game.
The media is reporting the Blues shunned the Qld trophy presentation because they had hurt feelings due to sledging of Gallen.
You cant sledge someone by saying the truth.....He is the best losing captain the Blues have had and he showed very poor form by not supporting the SOO and standing there for the Smith speech.
Coming up with the "We didn't know, we were just thanking the fans" is the biggest crock of crap from a spoilt player.

I do have one suggestion though and that is if a side wins 2 blot then present the trophy on the night they win it
As for future teams I would like to see the coach and selectors pick a team of players who actually play in the position to which they are selected except Hooker maybe as anyone can play there these days

The NRL has announced that Game Two of the 2019 State of Origin series will be played at the new Perth Stadium.

It will be the first time, barring the 1987 exhibition match in Los Angeles, an Origin match has been played outside of the eastern states of Australia.

I liked the look of the Test team. So SOO will have some seasoned campaigners in 2017.

Friz can only get better - and Cordner was very good. Darbs is also looking great.

my side this early on would be boyd, gagai, chambers, inglis, holmes, thurston, cronk, maguire, gillett, papalii, m.scott, c.smith, napa, bench of morgan, guerra, thaiday, and torn over the last spot. is myles getting slow, is lillyman still in the mix? who is the next young gun to step up as a middle forward? j.wallace, grevsmuhl, bateman?
if slater starts 2017 with a bang, can you leave him out? o'neill is away with the roos, but surely chambers is the better centre. oates will get many more chances in future years.

I think Slater may be back - and thus will play - but that will make a difference to who doesn't - and/or where they play.

Smokey for QLD is Tim Glasby & NSW it has to be Jake Trbojevic.

Adelaide is reportedly hoping to host one of the State of Origin games normally split between Sydney, Brisbane and sometimes Melbourne.

According to reports by AAP, the Adelaide Oval is vying to snare a State of Origin game in the future, with the contest usually shared between Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

While the home city of the dearly missed Adelaide Rams franchise has largely been ignored by league circles, the Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters will play a fixture there in 2017.

The game marks the first NRL match in South Australia in six seasons after the Storm and Canterbury Bulldogs played a game there in 2011.

Doesn't matter where they play Qld should win unless NSW stops picking players out of position and on reputation not current form.

you could be right especially if they keep picking players out of position and hanging on to older ones to give them a last "Hurrah". Like it or not footy is all about business and winning these days so their is no room for Lozza style sentimentality.
